Program Coordinator - Three Year Term Position
The Gwich’in Tribal Council (GTC) is seeking a highly-motivated individual to fill the position of Program Coordinator for the GTC’s Skills and Partnership Fund program in Inuvik, NT.
Reporting to the Manager of Education and Training, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of GTC’s Skills and Partnership Fund (SPF), a multi-year program in partnership with the Government of Canada which focuses on skills development and training-to-employment of Indigenous clients. GTC’s SPF program focuses on community deliveries of the Taii Trigwatsii Essential Skills program. This position is responsible for program planning, reporting, financial management, providing supervision to two program staff, and providing direction in all facets of the delivery of the program.
The ideal applicant would have a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education or Bachelor of Business Administration, as well as three years of project or program management experience, ideally in Life Skills and Career Development programming.
Experience working in Northern or Indigenous communities and supervisory experience would be considered assets. A Class 5 Driver’s license is required. Equivalencies may be considered. The successful applicant must be able to provide a satisfactory criminal records check.
Salary is $80,000 plus a generous benefits package which includes allowances of $20,000 per annum as well as health, dental, short and long term disability, life insurance, and generous leave entitlements.
