The Gwich’in Settlement Corporation (GSC) is pleased to announce the creation of a Business Scholarship. This will provide two (2) registered Gwich’in participants enrolled in a post-secondary business program – with preference in Commerce, Management, Accounting or Finance - an annual scholarship in the amount of $2,500.00 per year.

GWICH’IN TRIBAL COUNCIL (GTC) COMMENTS ON COASTAL PLAIN OIL AND GAS LEASING PROGRAM DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT (LEASING EIS)
The Gwich’in Tribal Council (GTC) submitted comments to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) regarding the scope of the Coastal Plain Oil and Gas Leasing Program Environmental Impact Statement on June 18, 2018. In our letter submission at that time we emphasized our fundamental concern about the threat to the Porcupine Caribou Herd posed by the prospect of the United States BLM proceeding to implement an oil and gas leasing program in the Coastal Plain area of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) in Alaska.
